MUMBAI: Mumbai police said on Tuesday that a woman undergoing training to join the Indian Navy as an Agniveer allegedly died by suicide.The 20-year-old woman, hailing from Kerala, reportedly ended her life by hanging herself in her hostel room at INS Hamla in Mumbai on Monday, as per PTI's report citing the police.The woman (20), hailing from Kerala, ended her life by hanging herself in her hostel room at INS Hamla in Mumbai on Monday, reported PTI quoting police.She was undergoing training at the INS Hamla in Malwani area in the western suburb of Malad for the last 15 days after completing her basic training, an official said.The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot.The official said that it appears the woman took the extreme step due to personal reasonsThe police have registered an accidental death report (ADR).

Further investigation is underway.
