Afghanistan

Although the pace of expulsion of Afghan immigrants from Pakistan has decreased, more than 1,000 migrants are still being deported from the country every day.Based on statistics of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, hundreds of people have been forcibly deported from Pakistan in the last two days. Some migrants who recently returned to the country say that the Pakistani police extorts money from refugees and humiliated, insults and tortures them.&They oppressed us,& said Baz Mohammad, who returned from Pakistan.

&They seized our property.

They kicked us out.

We have good facilities here.

We received five meals and honor.&Nek Mohammad, another returnee, said: &They were conducting operations at night to round up people.

Our property was left there.

The wheat which I cultivated was left there.

We were treated with disrespect and we decided that it is better to go home.&Some experts say that the United Nations should take positive and practical steps as soon as possible to improve the situation and stop deportations at least during winter. The government of Pakistan started the forced deportation of illegal refugees about two and a half months ago.

More than 500,000 have returned so far.The post Pakistan deports more than 1,000 Afghan migrants daily first appeared on Ariana News.
